DAR MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 11-98
TITLE : Amendment to Memorandum Circular No. 9, Series of 1997 Entitled "Recalling the Authority to Approve/Disapprove/Act on Protest Cases of Regional Directors in Certain Provinces in Regions III and IV Granted Under Administrative Order Nos. 9, 10 and 12, Series of 1994 and Administrative Order No. 5, Series of 1992"
In view of the new administration's thrust to expedite the resolution of protest cases, applications for land use conversion, exemption, and the lifting of notice of coverage/acquisition, and streamline the procedures relative thereto, this amendment of Memorandum Circular No. 9, Series of 1997 is hereby issued for the guidance of DAR and the public in general. SECTION I. Item III of Memorandum Circular No. 9, S. 1997 (Statement of Policy) is hereby amended to read as follows:
Pursuant to the above authority of the Secretary to streamline processes, the delegated authority to approve/disapprove/act on protest cases, conversion and exemption/exclusion applications granted to Regional Directors under AO 12, S. 1994, AO 9, S. 1994 and the authority to lift notices of acquisition under AO 5, S. 1992, are hereby recalled and henceforth transferred to the Office of the Undersecretary for Field Operations and Support Services.
SECTION II. All applications pending with the Office of the Undersecretary for Policy, Planning and Legal Affairs (PPLAO) and Office of the Undersecretary for Finance, Management and Administration (FMAO) as of the effectivity of this Memorandum Circular shall immediately be transferred to the Office of the Undersecretary for Field Operations and Support Services.
SECTION III. This Memorandum Circular amends Memorandum Circular No. 9, S. of 1997.
This Circular takes effect immediately.
